Faith Makepeace AAS

Faith grew up in Truckee, CA and has been an animal enthusiast since she could crawl. Her childhood heroes include Lassie and the Black Stallion!   Before becoming a veterinary technician, Faith spent her winters snowboarding and riding horses as a trail guide in the summers. Faith is a bit of a wanderlust and eventually ended up in Rapid City, SD to attend National American University’s veterinary technology program. She graduated in 2001 with an AAS in veterinary technology, passed the VTNE and has been working in small animal medicine ever since.

She has had many adventures as a veterinary technician all over the Midwest including working in canine behavior, humane societies and a variety of small animal hospitals. Before moving to Fort Collins, she had the privilege of living and working in Jackson Hole, Wy. There she had the thrilling experience of working with a variety of raptors, assisting a board Certified Veterinary Internist,  ran anesthesia for  a board Certified Veterinary Orthopedic Surgeon and a high volume Spay/neuter Clinic on the Wind River Reservation.

Faith is now very blessed to be a part of the Aspenwing team as a veterinary technician and team manager! She is so excited to be working with a great team and the variety of pets that come to Aspenwing! There is something new to learn daily!

When not helping patients and clients at Aspenwing, Faith spends her time making jewelry, reading, participates in her spiritual community and hangs out with her husband Brett, their dog Izel, the cats Stella & Snicklefritz, Coal the canary, Greyjoy the dove and their  thoroughbred mare, Riverdance.
