The Dangers of Water Hemlock

Water Hemlock is one of the deadliest plants in North America and unfortunately a Ft Collins dog discovered this first hand. We are urging everyone to be aware of this plant as it is along many waterways in Colorado. The only way to have a chance to save them is to induce vomiting immediately.

Keep your dog on a leash so you are aware of what they are investigating and eating and avoid plants that you are unsure of.

For further information and identification read the USDA article on water hemlock and its dangers.
